Sony's New CEO and President speaks up about business plan
Kaz Hirai has discussed a plan to focus Sony’s large organization in order to bolster profit after the company recorded a $2 billion loss for the year.
“I think one of the fundamental things that we need to change at Sony is to become a company that provides a very unique and compelling user experience as opposed to just a company that provides great hardware products,” he said. “We really need to buckle down and be realistic. I don’t think everybody is on board, but I think people are coming around to the idea that if we don’t turn this around, we could be sitting in some serious trouble.”
…
“Sony is a very large organization,” he said, “Not only do we need to bring a team together within the core electronics business, it’s about bringing a core team of senior management and making one team with the entire Sony group of companies, and I think I can bring a lot to making sure that we have that team that’s pulling in one direction with one focus and with one objective.”
Coming up from the more focused spot at Playstation, Hirai’s most relevant (and best) statement regarding Sony’s situation:
“It’s one issue after another. I feel like ‘Holy shit, now what?’”
This was great. It is my opinion that Sony and HP are two of the worst managed companies in the tech arena. Both have sleek designs and up until a few years ago, were trusted names in the industry. But for some reason, they fail to keep up with companies like Samsung, Apple, and Philips on the cutting edge of their particular sectors. HP and Sony should join forces and head hunt an exec from a COMPETENT company to run the show.

Ascent 2012
I was “stuck in a moment” (U2) but finally it looks like I’m ascending to serve my life’s purpose. It has been one heck of a ride which at times I just wanted to give up. I am now starting to realize why I had to experience difficult times in the last three years. I have made the sacrifices, made critical decisions that needed to be made and sometimes others made decisions easy for me to make it to this plateau. I am grateful today, since my work in the last three years has finally paid off (Leaving SONY, change of friends, move to the beach (and move again), acquiring a “serene” job, and countless other events). Life is like this I guess…. Done with planning, there is only up from here. I thank my experiences from the winter of 2007 to now for being the catalyst; to being born again and following big ideas regardless of how small I am. 2012!…

My Fundraising Page
As many of you know, philanthropic causes are not something I usually become a part of unless I am dead certain that an organization’s money is truely going to the cause I am supporting. Here is one organization I recommend whole heartedly.
LAWL!! My sentiments exactly.
Take note.
Taking note that this ignorant bitch never had to work for a thing in her fucking life and is ok giving away money that daddy busted his ass to earn. Also taking note that she is not THE 1% but ONE OF the 57% that supports the other 43%. Support redistribution if that is your thing but claiming to be making some grand sacrifice by asking to be taxed on money that was given to you by mom and dad is weak. Expecting me to be ok with socialism when I busted my ass to be where I am is a joke. Go back to doing whatever it is that you members of the lucky sperm club do and get the fuck off my dash.
Lol…
